18 foot unit with a Large Shower and Toilet on a MB Axor 1829 4x4

An 18 foot unit – Standard - Large Shower/Toilet on a Mercedes-Benz Axor 1829 4x4 left our workshop in Breda, bound for Switzerland. This specific unit is a popular model, with the more spacious shower and toilet like in the 20 foot unit, but in the 18 foot layout.

Overland Travel is responsible for the general overhaul of the Mercedes-Benz Axor 1829 4x4, which in its previous life served as a military truck in Germany. To meet the requirements of off-road use, the Axor was thoroughly overhauled and equipped with a large diesel tank and a centrally controlled tyre pressure system for regulating the tyre pressure. The spare wheel carrier at the rear of the cab and the air filter system were removed to create the necessary mounting area for the unit. In addition, the truck has been outfitted with all the necessary modern features, such as cruise control, air conditioning and air seats.

The unit

This 18 foot unit with the large shower and toilet from the 20 foot layout provides everything and more you need while travelling. The fixed, cosy double-bed in the back allows a good night's rest for 2 persons and if required, the U-shaped seating area can easily be converted into an extra bed for 2 more people. The shower and toilet are separated and the bathroom-door can be used as a room divider, providing more privacy off-the-road.

Personalising the Bliss Mobil

Although this expedition vehicle offers standard luxury and comfort, our customer has upgraded the Bliss Mobil with extra accessories. It has not only been equipped with country specific sockets but also a washing machine, a water maker, a towel heater, a vacuum cleaner and a security safe. The kitchen has been completed with a kitchen-set and to keep unwanted guests outside, we have also installed mosquito nets. But also the outside got a make-over with a roof rack on the drivers-cabin and its own ladder, underside coating to protect the vehicle, storage boxes and our outdoor-kitchen. The additional exterior lighting, the 360° view IR-camera system and the LED bars mounted on the roof rack assure more security and visibility. The motorbike carrier mounted on the rear side of the unit cannot only transport extra means of transport but also the sand plates and a spare tyre.
