USA Delivery – 20 foot on Mercedes-Benz firetruck

We are happy to have delivered a really nice 20 foot Standard with Quad Garage built on a Mercedes-Benz 2535 4×4 Double Cabin for a customer in the United States.

This unit is special because of the addition of a High Bed over the couch area, which makes up for a total of six sleeping places. We installed this module since the customer is planning on traveling with his two young kids and would also like to have space for guests visiting.
Options like a folding sink in the shower, and an outdoor kitchen give this unit comfort for everybody who is joining the journey.
Storage space
The quad garage gives ample space for storing two bikes and a motorbike and could easily be converted to store a Quad or other equipment. The garage is also accessible by a big hatch on the side, as well by the two doors in the rear. The automated Quad platform enables loading and unloading to ground level.
Extra storage space is created by installing a big storage box on the rear above the spare tires. It is a great, large space for items and sports gear which you want to take with you on trips, but do not use on a daily basis.
Our customer did make the choice for a special truck: an ex firefighter truck from Switzerland Mercedes-Benz SK 2535 with a high roof and a double cabin. Complying to the US import regulation for European brand trucks, it had been a challenge to come across a truck in good condition. The truck originally had a 6×4 axle configuration but was converted into a 4×4 chassis. An intensive overhaul project has been completed to convert this truck into a true expedition truck. We supplied the torsion free subframe, the storage boxes at the sides and the passage between the truck and unit.
The advantage of our container concept is that the truck overhaul project did run parallel and independent from the built of the Bliss Mobil unit. The marriage and the completion of the expedition vehicle did take place in our workshop. Close to the port of Zeebrugge, this beautiful truck sailed out last week on its way to home in the USA.
Blissful traveling
We are confident that our customer will enjoy this great expedition truck for many years to come and we wish them great and blissful travels together with their family.
