Shipping across the Atlantic Ocean due to the unique Bliss Mobil container concept! This 18 foot Bliss Mobil with a Standard interior layout will be placed on a Stewart & Stevenson M1088 FMTV 6×6 that has been modified and rebuilt by our customer himself.
After several months of intensive mailing correspondence with us, our clients decided to look at a Bliss Mobil in person during the 2019 Overland Expo West show in Flagstaff, Arizona. A few months later, they flew to the Netherlands to visit our company and workshop.
Layout and accessories
The Bliss Mobil has been equipped with extra accessories such as the motorbike carrier and the US-package, which adds another inverter and a 110V system. The torsion free subframe has been specially designed for this particular type of truck.
Shipping such a large and valuable object requires special attention, as the 18 and 20 foot Bliss Mobil units have to be transported on a flat rack container. This is in contrast to the 11, 13- and 15 foot Bliss Mobil units, which fit inside a High Cube container.
In order to make this shipment go smoothly and to ensure that the unit reaches its new home undamaged, a good working relationship with our customer in the USA and the shipping company has been crucial. As an additional precaution, this Bliss Mobil Unit was packed in an extra shipping crate before being secured to a flat rack container.
The shipping process has been a cooperation of multiple companies based both in the Netherlands and the United States.
We want to thank our Texas-based clients for their trust in Bliss Mobil and we wish them many unforgettable and Blissful adventures in their expedition vehicle. We are sure that the American Overland community will welcome them with open arms.
