RO/RO shipping of a Bliss Mobil to the United States.
Hereby we present another special delivery to the United States! A beautiful and fully equipped 13 foot Bliss Mobil Unit with a High-Bed Type 4 layout on a Unimog U2540 – shipped via RO/RO to the USA.
The 25+ year old Unimog was purchased in the Netherlands and received a major overhaul at Hellgeth engineering Spezialfahrzeugbau GmbH in Germany while the Bliss Mobil team started building the 13 foot Unit High Bed. The wedding of the Bliss Mobil Unit and the vehicle took place in March in our workshop in Breda. After that the Bliss Mobil expedition vehicle was shipped to the United States via RO/RO transport.
What is a RO/RO transport?
RO/RO means Roll on/Roll off and is a simple and flexible method of shipping vehicles. The expedition vehicle is driven directly onto the ship and attached to the vehicle decks secured inside the container, which are wind and water protected. On arrival at the destination, the vehicle can be easily driven off the ship.
The Unit
The 13 foot Unit – High Bed Type 4 is equipped with a large and comfortable double bed that is located above the sitting area. The shower and toilet are combined in this layout and this creates more space in the kitchen area for extra cabinets for example. Our customer opted for a chemist cabinet with roll-out drawers in the kitchen and a wall mounted washing machine next to the kitchen.
The optional kitchen set was added to the already more than complete kitchen. In order to be able to enjoy the outdoor area to the fullest, the unit was also expanded with our optional and award-winning outdoor kitchen – allowing our customers to enjoy the magnificent outdoors even while cooking!
