Delivery of a 20 foot Unit on a MAN TGS 6×6

Our team is busy even though it is holiday-season. This week a 20 foot unit – Low Bed XL Kitchen in a MAN TGS 6×6 left our workshop in Breda for its new home country Switzerland. But this olive grey metallic expedition vehicle is not their first Bliss Mobil, it is their second. Back in 2017, our Swiss customers acquired an 18 foot Bliss Mobil on a MAN TGM and took it on some fascinating trips. We are honoured that they chose our company again.

Perfect combination

Because our customers are experienced Bliss Mobil owners, they knew exactly what they wanted and had specific requirements. The powerful MAN TGS 6×6 with its 510 horsepower is a reliable, robust and powerful truck with absolute off-road capability. With a length of 8.5 metres (excluding the carrier on the back), a wheelbase of 3.9 metres and a height of just under 3,8 metres, this combination is still manageable in all sorts of situations. The truck has expertly been equipped with f.e. Tire inflation system inside the axle, which allows an adjustment of the tire pressure while driving. Besides this, the MAN will get further customisation like a roof rack and additional driving lights to get him fit for real overlanding. The underside coating with rubber will protect the Bliss Mobil from external influences while travelling.

Their home on wheels

A 20 foot unit – Low bed XL Kitchen has a very spacious layout and comes standard with accessories that would be optional in our more compact units. It is equipped with a fixed and comfortable double bed (1,800 x 2,000 mm) in the back, a cosy seating area that can easily be converted into an extra double bed and a large kitchen with everything (and more) you need on the road. A spacious garage (900 mm height) is situated underneath the bed and equipped with a storage box system. The shower and toilet are separated and offer all amenities needed. They can use the bathroom door to create a room divider between the living and sleeping areas.

The inside of the unit has been upgraded with country specific sockets for Switzerland and is prepared for travelling to the Americas with the US Charging. Furthermore, you find a water maker, an additional Victron Battery Pack, a clothes hanging system, chemist’s cabinet and a kitchen set. To keep their valuable items safe, a security safe with numeric locking has been built in. A Magnetic mosquito net and fine mesh assure that unwanted visitors stay outside. The unit is prepared for all weather conditions thanks to the Arctic Package.

Equipped with plenty of accessories on the outside

The experience they had made during their travels with the 18 foot Bliss Mobil helped them by choosing extra accessories for this stunning expedition truck. To guarantee safe access from the unit to the driver’s cabin a Truck cabin passage has been mounted. For even more safety and better visibility, a Bird view camera system and additional exterior lighting are located on the Bliss Mobil.

On the back of the unit you find our motorbike carrier with a large storage box that will be able to carry two spare tyres and extra means of transport (bicycle kit).
