18 foot Standard on a MAN TGS 18.360 4×4
Last week we delivered a 18 foot unit – Standard with a large shower and toilet from the 20 foot on a MAN TGS 18.360 4×4 for our German customer. This special model was introduced 2 years ago on a special request and has already proven to be the ideal combination for a 4×4 chassis with larger sanitary facilities.
The combination
As already mentioned, the MAN TGS 18.360 4×4 with a 4,500 mm wheelbase is a great platform for the 18 foot unit. This newest generation offers a great comfort level, while still being able to perform in the hardest conditions. The 385/65 R22.5 size tires offer a good compromise in off-road / all-road performance. With its length of 8 metres and 3.7 metres height, this Bliss Mobil combination has still a good manageable size even for within Europe.
Luxury and comfort of home
The layout of the 18 foot unit Standard provides not only plenty of space but also the luxury and comfort of home. With an inside height of 2,10 m, the large size windows and the 2 roof hatches, the unit feels spacious and light. The well-equipped kitchen offers plenty of storage space, a large fridge/deep freezer and all the amendments (and more) you need while travelling.
The shower and toilet are separated in this layout and offer all the amenities required. On the road, they can use the bathroom door as a room divider, providing more privacy between the sleeping and the seating area. Underneath the fixed double-bed (1,600 x 2,000 mm) in the rear is a large and secured storage area. The U-shaped couch, that can also be converted into an extra double-bed, is located is front and equipped with the fresh water tank and double Lithium-ion battery bank.
The inside of the unit has been upgraded with multiple additional accessories like a towel heater in the bathroom, additional bamboo cabinets in the sleeping area and a washing machine, two seat belts and truck passage, enabling easy and safe access from the unit to the driver’s cabin. On the outside you will find our motorbike carrier, extra lighting, storage boxes mounted on the subframe and an outdoor-kitchen.
Why Bliss?
Our customers are experienced travellers and have had different high-end campers over the years, both smaller and larger luxury liners. Their requirements changed as their kids have grown up, and they now want more flexibility, freedom and all-road capabilities.
What they like about the Bliss Mobil concept is that there is no gas on board, the water capacity is abundant, and the energy concept is proven. The inside height with its 2.10 m gives plenty of headroom for tall people. They have also fallen for the cosy and comfortable interior with bamboo, even though they didn’t make any personal decoration yet.
During the school holidays, they will start with their first trips across Europe, also to become better acquainted with their new home on wheels. And next year, they plan to ship the Bliss Mobil to the USA for a round trip.
