In addition, our way of travelling is perfect for exploring the island this summer: adventurous and completely self-sufficient.Icelandic adventureIn your “home away from home” (and with a small group of travelling companions) you will travel deep into the dramatic inland of Iceland. We will avoid the tourist routes, and even the tarmac altogether, as much as possible. During this adventure, you will leave the beaten track and overcome challenging off-road routes. We will visit locals’ favorite secluded spots – which can only be reached by 4×4 vehicles a few months a year – and travel through deep and challenging river crossings in rugged, varying weather conditions.Of course it is not just hard work behind the wheel, we will also create the most fantastic memories outside of the expedition truck. And… no off-road driving experience is required.Unique travel conceptBliss Mobil has organized successful expeditions across various regions, including Africa and Scandinavia. By combining our technical expertise with real-world expedition experience, we offer a unique and adventurous travel concept using our rental vehicles.During these self-drive expeditions, you travel independently while benefiting from the support, safety and shared experience of a small group led by an experienced Bliss Mobil guide.Convoy and teamworkDuring this trip, we will have to drive in convoy on some occasions. Mainly during departure and arrival, but also on difficult off-road terrain where you might need to help your fellow travellers. This is exactly why we do these expeditions in small groups; to help each other with challenging passages and any potential recovery. This makes it possible to get to beautiful locations where you would not be able to experience alone.In many cases you can decide yourself whether you would like to travel independently or if you prefer to join the other adventurers. You navigate by using the road book and the navigation system that we will provide, in which all the waypoints are already programmed. At the end of the day you will rejoin each other to spend the night. Support and assitance is always nearby.IntensityNo experience is required for this expedition, only a C1 driving license which allows you to drive a vehicle up to 7.500 kg. The intensity of the trip will partly be determined by factors such as weather conditions and your personal physical condition. Check our frequently asked questions!Pricing 2026 and 2027 Iceland expeditions11 days expeditions: €19,950, based on two people per team. 8 day expeditions are priced at € 14.000, based on two people per team.Payment TermsThe travel sum has to be paid in 2 payment terms ( invoice based)Term 1: 30% of the total travel sum, including any additional costs for personal wishes. The commitment feeis non-refundable. Final payment date: 2 weeks after registration.Term 2: The remaining 70% of the total travel sum must be paid 2 months before departure.Additionally, all customers must pay a rental deposit of €15,000 per team, to be paid 2 weeks before departureConfirmation of ExpeditionNumber of participants: minimum 6 – maximum 8 vehicles.We will inform you as early as possible—no later than two months prior to departure—whether the trip has sufficient participants, before requesting payment of the remaining travel sum ( term 2)We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the trip if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
