Delivery of 16 foot unit Standard on Scania G 370 4x4

Last week, we completed the delivery of a 16 foot unit Standard mounted on a Scania G 370 4x4 for a customer from Austria. The couple, after extensively travelling through the world, are upgrading from a conventional campervan to a capable expedition vehicle to support their ambition to travel and experience the freedom of independence!

A compact spacious and self sufficiency expedition unit

The customer opted for a 16 foot unit Standard, one of our most popular models. This unit strikes the perfect balance between a compact footprint and spacious interior. It features the increased height and width of the larger units, and provides a generous living environment. The well designed layout includes a wide 1.600 mm bed, a U shaped seating area that converts into a second bed, a separate toilet and bathroom with a glass room divider, and a fully equipped kitchen, ensuring that everything needed is at hand.

Built for complete self sufficiency, the unit features a solar power system with five panels (1.3 kW), lithium ion battery packs with over 20 kWh capacity, a triple water filtration system, a large 550 liter water tank, integrated heating and air conditioning. Additional highlights include a washing machine with dryer function, an outdoor kitchen, a folding sink and Starlink high performance internet. The upholstery was customised with fabric personally selected by the customer, showing how each Bliss Mobil unit becomes a personalised, expedition ready home.

Fully equipped for extended off grid travel

The customer selected a comprehensive range of accessories to support long term travel plans. A motorbike carrier with platform extension allows for transporting a small quad, offering greater mobility at the destination. The combination stands out visually with a striking yellow cab and a black exterior detail package. Custom black details will be added to further personalise the vehicle and complete the distinctive design of the expedition truck.

For outdoor living, a fully integrated outdoor kitchen offers cooking versatility, while the kitchen set in the kitchen provides all essential cookware and utensils. The diesel heater connected to the truck’s fuel tank ensures efficient heating during cold climates, especially during the upcoming winter trip to Norway. As backup the standard diesel tank inside the unit is always available for the extreme cold situations.

Practical additions such as the double step enhance comfort and accessibility, while the triple water pre filtration system ensures safe water quality. The installation of a high performance Starlink antenna provides reliable connectivity, even in the most remote locations.

Scania Truck

This is the second delivery of a 16 foot unit in combination with a Scania 4x4. The G 370 B4x4HZ is convincing with its high quality, well-finished interior and attention to detail. Known for its off-road performance and technical reliability, it features permanent all wheel drive, a robust chassis, 14:00R20 off-road tyres and a powerful 13 litre engine delivering 370 hp. This provides the strength, stability, safety and comfort needed to carry a fully equipped Bliss Mobil unit over long distances and challenging terrain.

The truck will be fitted with folding underrun protection and custom storage boxes, after which it will receive TÜV approval for registration. Our customer's journey begins in February with a winter expedition to Norway’s North Cape.

One of the main motivations for this choice was the dream of travelling through Mongolia. The vast, remote landscapes and challenging terrain require a reliable and fully self-sufficient expedition vehicle. With this 16 foot unit on a Scania 4x4 chassis, the couple is fully prepared to make their dream journey a reality and explore the most remote parts of Mongolia in comfort and safety.

If you're interested in building your own expedition vehicle or want to learn more about the options, feel free to get in touch. We’re happy to help you explore the possibilities.
