We have recently delivered a 16 foot Bliss Mobil unit in the standard layout, on a Mercedes Benz Arocs 1846 4×4 Our customers, a Dutch couple, are planning for extended world travel starting with some months traveling through southern Africa. Configured for Independent Travel
The Mercedes Benz Arocs 1846 4×4 was selected as the base vehicle. With its four-wheel drive system, large ground clearance , the Arocs is engineered to perform reliably in demanding off-road conditions. To allow the Arocs it’s full off-road potential, it is build up with our torsion-free subframe. A torsion free subframe protects the Bliss Mobil unit and allows the maximum flex in the Arocs chassis. The Arocs, combined with an additional diesel tank, offers long range, durability, and long-term reliability on rough tracks and remote routes.
This Bliss Mobil 16 foot Standard is carefully configured for practical, comfortable, and independent long-term use. Because of the generous water capacity and 800Ah lithium battery system delivering over 20 kWh of energy, supported by high-efficiency solar panels. This combination ensures you the freedom of independent travel.

Selected options in and outside for more comfort
A strong, lightweight aluminium roof rack on the Arocs drivers cabin, adds additional storage capacity. It also offers protection to the windshield of the drivers cabin, by the front protector bars. The led bars on the roof rack offers great light in low visibility conditions.
On the rear of the unit, the motorbike carrier provides flexible mobility once camp is established, allowing easy exploration of surrounding areas without moving the entire vehicle. The motorbike carrier can also be equipped with a bicycle kit and combined with a Batwing awning, creating a comfortable sheltered outdoor space protected from sun and rain.
The outdoor kitchen expands the living space and supports daily cooking in warm climates. making outdoor living a natural extension of the interior space.
More comfort and capability Inside
Inside the 16 foot standard unit, a spacious large couch in the front of the unit offers a comfortable seating area. It can be converted to an additional bed of 1400 x 2000 mm for guests. Large windows by the couch and bed combined with two large roof hatches, provide ample natural light. It offers a strong connection to the surrounding landscape and great outdoor views outside.
In the rear of the unit, a fixed bed over the garage offers a comfortable sleeping area with a 1600 mm wide bed. The additional bamboo cabinets provide extra storage space while maintaining the warm, natural interior aesthetic that defines our Bliss Mobil units. The result is a well-organized and practical sleeping environment designed specifically for a good night’s sleep during long-term expedition travel.
Between the kitchen and the bed, a separate shower and toilet are positioned in two individual compartments. By separating these spaces, both areas remain comfortable and fully usable, offering practical convenience for everyday life on the road.
Internal systems
For connectivity during remote travel, the vehicle is equipped with a Starlink system and a global WiFi router with 4G/5G SIM cards, ensuring reliable internet access. The integrated Smart Home System with Remote Connect enables optimal management of all onboard systems. This allows them to stay connected, navigate efficiently, and manage practical matters while exploring southern Africa in their off-road expedition vehicle.
